Corporate Story

Zeman – Success through innovation, quality and tradition

Zeman was founded in 1965 by Hans Zeman and partners for the purpose of building hall structures. In the beginning the first structures were manufactured under a shed roof out in the open, until the company’s first own factory hall was built in Scheifling, Styria.

Zeman goes International

In the years that followed Zeman grew continuously. With the expansion of its own production halls and the associated realization of large-scale projects, Zeman positioned itself as a major player in the Austrian market. In the mid 70’s Zeman continously expanded the portfolio and took its first international steps in Saudi Arabia, further large contacts in Jordan and Iraq followed.

Based on the Legato– and SIN-Technology, at the beginning of the 80’s Zeman gained access to international markets with the business segment of Machine Construction. From Finland to Brazil and from USA to Russia, the company sells machines developed according to customer-specific requiremens.

In 1991 the first foreign company was founded in Poland, which at the same time marked the opening to the East for the group of companies. In recent years, Zeman has been able to successfully expand its range of activities in the project business from England to the Urals and as far as China.

Today the company is still wholly controlled by the family and is managed in the second generation by Mag. Peter Zeman, son and successor of the company’s founder, together with his experienced management team. The realization of innovative ideas has always been at the forefront at Zeman.
